5 Proven Steps To Face Your Fears

The enemy is fear
The enemy is fear, not hate.
Learn how to face your fears by following these steps. These are proven steps for dealing with any form of fear.
1. Make a list of your fears.
Make a list of situations, places or objects that you fear. Be specific about what you fear.

2. Build a Fear Ladder.
Once you have made a list, arrange things from the least scary to the scariest. Rate your fears on a scale of 0 (least feared) to 10 (most feared) and tackle them in that order.

3. Expose yourself to your fears.
Starting with the situation that causes the least anxiety, repeatedly engage in that activity until you start to feel less anxious about it.

4. Practise.
Continue to practise these steps regularly until you get less anxious about your fears. Remember to record the gains you make every time. Even when the fears go away, it is important to always practice them. Re-rate your fear ladder from time to time and continue practising how to deal with those fears.

5. Reward brave behaviour.
Reward yourself every time you overcome one of your fears. It is very difficult to face fears and overcome them.

Instead of acting cowardly by trying to run away from our problems, it is at these times that we have to show the world what we’re really made of. How do we do that? Get prepared to face your fears! No matter the obstacles that may be standing in your path of victory and successes, the achievement will always outweigh it by a hundredfold.

There are times when we overestimate our problems and underestimate our own energies and strengths. The only way to get out of the situation should be to get within and search for the solution. Creativity finds those who search for it.

Life is for those who live it, not the passers-by. It is for those who have decided to face their challenges squarely.
