Water Your Grass, Make It Greener

To develop into a giant tree, the baobab tree learns to stand alone. It bends neither East nor West. Other trees, on seeing the strength with which the baobab tree faces storms, begin to cling onto it for their own security and comfort.

If someone feeds you, they can control you. And being dependent on other people for your comfort will make you renounce that freedom.

There is real and lasting comfort within you.

A lot of people think depending on family and friends is the norm. They think it is all well and good to ask a friend for assistance. What they often forget is that "nothing is for free in this world of ours!"

People will always find a means to rip your integrity apart and make you a laughing stock in the end. What an easy way to sell it out to them when you go begging at their door!

They may pretend to be helping you but in actual sense, they are undermining your intelligence.

Look to yourself first in all things. You have what you desire hidden within you. Honey and milk flow at your feet, provided you take the courage to harness it.

Do not conclude that the grass is green at your friend's feet because you've seen them living 'big' today. It can also get green (even greener) at yours if you are patient to water your grass. Just water your grass and watch what happens.

How to water your grass? By not selling yourself short of greatness through begging and dependence on others, and willing to invest and wait.

Investing in yourself is the best form of investment.

Begin to water your grass today if you are thinking of playing at genius tomorrow.
