Buluk, Where Are You?

At this year's new year celebration with Paramount Chief of the Bulsa traditional area, Nab Azagsuk Azantinlow II at his palace, he admonished all citizens of Buluk to assess the progress made on the vision set last year.

The chief was inspired by a local Catholic hymn that implored people to assess themselves while searching for solutions to their problems.

The Chief asked everyone to assess themselves and evaluate where they've reached with his call on reduction in alcohol consumption, using alcohol in the performance of funerals, and felling of trees in the Bulsa traditional area.

He said, "I want each and every Buloa here today to individually ask themselves where they've reached with our fight against alcoholism, our use of alcohol to perform funerals, and the indiscriminate felling of trees."

The chief also suggested ways of raising money to help in the development of Buluk. He suggested every household contributes a guinea fowl each which will be sold and used to fund some of the development activities he plans to roll out.

This gathering takes place every year at the Paramount Chief's palace. It is a non-denominational gathering of Christians and the general public to thank God for seeing them through the past year and to also pray for His blessings in the new year.
